Prior to forming ECI, Mr. Beller was a senior executive for billionaire investor Sam Zell’s organization from 1989 until 2000. He served as President of Equity Capital Holdings, LLC (ECH), an investment and real estate management company. ECH invested in parking structures and retail related properties. ECH became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Equity Office Properties Trust (NYSE:EOP) in 1997, where Beller served as Executive Vice President in addition to his role as President of the ECH subsidiary. EOP was one of the largest real estate investment trusts in the United States. Beller also served as President of Equity Hotel Properties, Inc., Mr. Zell’s hotel investment and management company.  Mr. Beller was responsible for the development and redevelopment of many of Mr. Zell’s personal investments, and served as the senior executive for those holdings.

Beller was actively involved in Sam Zell’s apartment portfolio. He actively participated in the initial public offering of Equity Residential Properties Trust (NYSE:EQR) in 1993.  Mr. Beller was a senior executive of Equity Assets Management, Inc. (EAM), which was Mr. Zell’s principal operating company during the successful Zell/Merrill Opportunity Funds I, II, III, and IV, in which $2.2 billion of equity was raised and invested in a portfolio of real estate assets totaling in excess of $6 billion.

Prior to joining Zell’s organization, Mr. Beller was the managing general partner of a private equity investment firm in Atlanta, Georgia. The firm provided both corporate advisory and capital business investments to a number of start-up technology companies, food industry and retail businesses, as well as commercial construction and real estate related services. Beller was directly involved in the initial public offering and the raising of private capital for several of these entities, in addition to providing management oversight and advisory services.

Mr. Beller started his career in a financial training program with a division of Chrysler Financial.  He left Chrysler for a position with IBM in their management training program.  He established his first private businesses in the 1970's.

Mr. Beller has served on numerous boards and committees as well as appearing as a guest speaker at real estate and investment conferences and events.  He is currently investing in a number of literary and film projects through G. Anton Companies, LLC, and plans to expand the business from literary publishing to providing content and resources for television and film production.

Vivian Craig - General Manager

Vivian Craig joined G. A. Beller and his business entities in April of 2009 to promote the ECI brand and enhance client relations. Ms. Craig was appointed General Manager in 2015, acting as Mr. Beller's executive in charge of newly formed ECI entities, including G. Anton Publishing and related G. Anton companies.

Vivian has over thirty-five years experience in the advertising and marketing industries, on the ad agency side as well as in production and post-production. Her early career included positions at Leo Burnett Company and J. Walter Thompson, both based in Chicago.  For fifteen years, she served as Business Manager for one of Chicago's leading post-production companies, Skyview Film & Video. Following Skyview, Red Car Editorial—a nationally acclaimed production/post-production company—appointed Ms. Craig Managing Director/Executive Producer to head its Chicago division. Under her management, Red Car produced notable commercials for clients such as McDonald's, Anheuser Busch, and Kraft, to name a few. 

Ms. Craig has served ECI and the G. Anton Companies as writing collaborator, creative director, and editor for both corporate and independent projects, including several novels.

Mike Mattenson - President of Parking Advisory Services 

Mike Mattenson joined ECI Investment Advisors, Inc. in March 2001. He served as Executive Vice President in charge of the Parking Advisory business, and was named president of that operation in 2013. He is responsible for client relations and daily operations. 

Mr. Mattenson joined the Equity organization in 1990 and was Assistant Vice President of Asset Management and Vice President/ Finance for Sam Zell's Equity Property and Development Company, a leading owner and manager of retail properties throughout the United States, until 1993. After a successful tenure as CFO of Equity Hotel Properties, Inc., Mr. Mattenson joined Mr. Beller to handle the day-to-day operational and financial responsibilities of Equity Capital Holdings, LLC. 

Prior to joining Zell's organization, Mr. Mattenson spent several years at a national real estate brokerage firm in charge of all financial, administrative, and system functions, as well as four years as an auditor at Ernst & Young. Mr. Mattenson is a Certified Public Accountant.
